GitLab Access & Security Agreement

By logging into this system, you agree to the following terms:

1. Data Security: Source code and project data must not be stored on unencrypted personal devices. Full-disk encryption (FileVault, BitLocker, or LUKS) is required for any machine with a local clone.

2. Access Expiry: All contractor accounts are subject to an Access Expiration Date, set for 90 days from the date of issuance. Extensions must be requested 7 days prior to expiry.

3. Account Retention: Upon contract termination, accounts will be Blocked, not deleted. This is required to maintain the integrity of audit logs and contribution history.

4. Availability: Access is not guaranteed, the service may be interrupted for emergency patches. Where possible notice will be provided via email but this is not always possible.

5. Resource Fair Use: CI/CD pipelines must be optimised. Any process found to be intentionally exhausting server CPU or RAM will be terminated.

6. Prohibited Data: Do not commit plain-text secrets or sensitive PII.

For security and auditing purposes, all user activity—including login timestamps, IP addresses, and Git commands—is logged and monitored. Accessing this system constitutes consent to such monitoring.
